COGNITIVE-BEHAVIOR THERAPY

 
Cognitive-behavior therapy is based on the premise that our thoughts affect our feelings and actions. As a child and adolescent therapist, I work toward restructuring children's negative thinking patterns and correcting "thinking errors" in order to modify their feelings and resulting behaviors.
 
Cognitive-behavior therapy is a rapid, results-oriented, highly studied and evidence-based form of psychotherapy. Cognitive-behavior therapy is instructive, using homework assignments and other means to achieve results quickly. Cognitive-behavior therapy is based on the premise that our thoughts affect our feelings and actions. By restructuring our negative patterns (thinking errors) we can modify our feelings and resulting behaviors.
